About
Quality Education & Skills Training (QUEST) Alliance is a social venture that works towards creating powerful learning experiences for marginalized children and youth to realize their full potential. QUEST App is an interactive learning platform to impart 21st century skills to learners making them more confident, adaptable and hence more productive.
THE GOAL
To make it intuitive for low tech exposure users.
Motivate learners to use the platform as more than just a content holder. Overcome language barriers and increase the drive to learn.
Increase collaboration between students, alumni, facilitators
THE DISCOVERY
Learners lacked a highly intuitive, personalized and contextualized learning platform. One that was scalable and adaptabe to cater to the diversity in language preferences across India.
There was low motivation and collaboration for learning
The lack of a follow through where students can go beyond learning on the app.
The need for a support system of alumni and community section for emotional support and mentorship at the workplace.

DESIGN INTERVENTIONS
We co-developed an intuitive learning platform to enable 21st century skill training through self-learning, inspiring and empowering students and educators alike.



INTERVENTION 01
Ease of Understanding
Having a walk-through as the first step is an efficient way to ensure first time users feel confident, knowing it will guide them instantly while also being able to revisit it at a later stage. The multi-lingual content availability caters to the diverse user base across India. Content in native languages reduces the barrier to quickly and effectively picking up essential skills by removing any language knowledge pre-requisites.
INTERVENTION 02
Motivation leads the way
Appreciation is a driver of motivation, and motivation requires energy. We’ve all felt it! By nudging users to pick up where they dropped off, we increased the conversion in completion by removing the exhaustive decision making process of having to choose a course.
Every achievement for a successful course or assessment is also displayed on the landing page, reminding students of the several ways to get at the top of their game.
INTERVENTION 03
3C’s of Community - Content, Collaboration & Confidence
Communities easily become passive spaces, where people prefer to consume existing content rather than actively ask. Hence we introduced an ‘anonymous’ feature for posting, to encourage users to actively seek answers to their questions with their identity protected from public view. The admin yields the power to filter out inappropriate content, making the feature fool proof.
It’s a nudge towards the habit forming of staying curious and confidence building. In addition, we support attaching media files for collaboration over context and resource creation.
INTERVENTION 04
Trainers are one of us
Trainers are the bridge to the outside world. From imparting knowledge to connecting students to mentor alumni, trainers run the show! We created the tools to help them stay this fabulous. Batches is a separate section for trainers to manage multiple student profiles, bulk assign, track group performance, encourage P2P feedback, collect digital attendance and facilitate batch in additional to the primary function of creating batches.
